That is truly the work of compassion, “being with” those who are sorrowing. It is a gift beyond measure to those in pain, to have one to journey with them in the sadness of the moment, the moment of tears. Cry and release. Jesus cried tears as he wept at the tomb of Lazarus. Tear ducts and tears are a gift. In my Hospice work, I always called them pressure relief valves, given for men and women. Great post, and so true.
